Dun Gotta Gun has long been a crowd favorite with his phenomenal stop, big turn, and show presence. This striking 1998 dun stallion amassed a tremendous show record with very limited showing. He was the 2001 Southwest Reining Futurity Reserve Non Pro Champion and tied to win the NRHA Futurity Non Pro Championship, finishing as the Reserve winner. He won the first go of the 2002 NRBC Non Pro and was a top five finisher at the NRHA Non Pro Derby. In 2005, Two Million Dollar rider Tim McQuay teamed up with Dun Gotta Gun to win the Gordyville USEF Championship with a big score of 228.5 and he became a USEF Reining Championship finalist. To date, Dun Gotta Gun has over $57,000 in NRHA earnings to his credit. As a testament to both his success in the show ring and his popularity, Dun Gotta Gun was honored by Breyer, and a plastic collectable model was made in his likeness. His first foals came of age in 2007, and of the four that were shown, all four garnered NRHA earnings.
