Courtney & Weston |
Beginning her 9th year of riding with Colleen McQuay and her 6th year as a professional, Courtney has become an intricate part of McQuay Stables. With tremendous ambition and dedication, not to mention a good business mind, she has become an asset to the entire operation.
Prior to riding with Colleen, Courtney has ridden since her small pony days, with notable trainers such as Chris Land, Mike McCormick and Tracy Fenney.
Her junior years culminated with great success on Emily William’s horse “Better and Better,” with whom she won many large junior hunter championships and the first round of the Legacy Cup. She also earned USEF medals on that same horse, while showing other sale horses for Colleen, to wins in the junior hunters.
In addition to her success in the hunter rings, Courtney has earned wins in the jumper rings as well. While showing Roseberry Farm’s River Dance, she won many junior jumper championships and started in the Grand Prix’s.
Since becoming a professional, Courtney has won numerous championships in everything from baby green to the working hunters. So far in 2007, she has won on horses including Weston, Scorched Sky, Piago, Merci Beaucoup, Artful Investment, and Blitzen
