Norm and Rita Van Sloun, Colleen and Jeannie's parents, moved to Texas from Arizona in 1998 and their lovely home is situated right on the farm.
Norm, a Navy veteran, is retired from the newspaper and printing business, and his expertise in business management has had a huge impact on McQuay Stables. The overall farm manager, Norm oversees the entire operation and serves as financial advisor.
Rita, the "Martha Stewart" of McQuay Stables, keeps busy as well, creating beautiful garden scenery and cooking delicious meals for the big crowds at special holidays and occasions. Rita is also a talented seamstress and designs and makes many of the custom fabric items seen around McQuay Stables.
