McQuay
Stables: Hunter Division
The
hunter/jumper division of McQuay Stables is based around the
sales and training of horses. Most of the horses or ponies in
our barn are younger investment horses or ponies. Within the
past five years, McQuay Stables has increased the schedule at
home because of the number of young prospects. Instead of being
gone almost 40 weeks out of the year, the crew is now on the
road only half that time. The decrease in travel time makes
showing more affordable for our clients to have their young
horses in training, and gives the trainers a chance to school at
home more. This also makes McQuay team more available to help
other trainers that have a heavy schedule on the road.

Recently PBR
rider Cord McCoy visited the farm. He is pictured here with
Colleen and Heather Zuber. Cord was involved in the celebrity
reining challenge at this year Furtuity to help support the Make
A Wish Foundation.

We would like
to congratulate Courtney Calcagnini on the start of her own
farm. We wish her the best of
luck on a successful business.
